The Insurance Sales Certificate program is open to currently enrolled students (except Insurance and Risk Management majors and minors) who wish to increase employability. For example, the certificate program is beneficial to students interested in marketing, sales, and general business. The Insurance Sales Certificate program teaches you how to help people attain financial security, peace of mind, and preservation of dignity in relation to insurance. The program’s curriculum provides you with the opportunity to develop and document selling skills while acquiring knowledge about insurance and effective selling practices.

Courses

The Insurance Sales Certificate program consists of 15 credits covering courses focused on the principles of marketing, professional selling, risk and insurance, salesforce management, and business negotiations. You also will choose an elective course in insurance related to your interest in the field.

Transfer Credit

Indiana State University accepts credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities within the United States, and from selected schools located outside the United States. Credit also may be granted for military training and experience. Previously earned college credit can be applied toward completion of the program per Indiana State's transfer guidelines.
